These services are provided in eight separate cottages and a Health Facility all at the same
location. The living units are joined by walkways, gardens, and patios and include a protective exterior fence, a Wander Guard
System and Gate System to maximize the residents' security and safety, while at the same time maintaining a feeling of independence.
Vista Del Sol Care Center
First and best known is Vista del Sol Care Center, a 50-bed skilled Skilled Nursing Facility.
Vista, as it is known in the community, provides Skilled Nursing Care around the clock, to care for and supervise a wide variety
of conditions from convalescing and long-term supportive care to Rehabilitative Care. Residents are admitted by their personal
physician and stay under his or her care while at the center.
Vista is fully licensed by state and county agencies. Vista is a Medicare / private pay facility.
Medicare covered services are provided both by the facility and outside contracting agencies, such as diagnostic and rehabilitation
services.
Casa Del Sol and Casa Del Mar Residencies
The next element of the Vista Family are the Casas. The residences consist of eight separate
cottages each housing from one to six residents. The cottages are each conntected by protective interior walkways. These units
are specifically designed and built by "Vista" for individuals who need maximum supervision and supportive care and wish to
maintain a greater feeling of independence. Numerous small patios, gardens and grass yards emphasize a more home-like atmosphere.
Licensed Nurses supervise the medications of all residents and Certified Nurses Aids are in
attendance on a 24-hour basis. There is assistance with bathing, dressing, walking, exercise, and personal needs on a daily
basis.
The Casas are a unique approach to residential care in that they fill an important need for
more supervision and assistance than a traditional Board and Care facility while offering substantially less institutionalization
than a Nursing Home.
The "Vista" Family
The most unique element of the Vista Family of care facilities does not lie in the physical
structures , but rather in the caregivers who staff them. Vista is the only privately owned Multilevel Care Facility in West
Los Angeles.
Founded in 1980 by Stella Mora-Henry, R.N., and her husband Terry Henry, Vista del Sol, is in
a sense, an extension of the Henry family and their philosophy of caring for all residents as if they were a member of their
own family.
All employees from the Nursing staff to the Dietary staff are part of the care giving team and
are sincerely interested in and actively involved with each resident. The longevity in employment and feeling of family adds
to the continuity of resident care, personal atmosphere and the reputation of Vista Del Sol throughout the healthcare community.
